We're kicking off the week with smooth vibes and sultry sounds at our brand new Wine up Wednesday. This R&B-only experience is made for the grown and sexy. Think wine, candlelight, and all your favorite slow jams.
🛡️ Enhanced Security
Your safety is our top priority. In 2025, we're rolling out upgraded security protocols across all TGP events, including new entrance lance, added staff, and streamlined bag checks so you can party in peace.
🎟️ Wristband Pick-Up Week
No more long lines on the big day! This year we're offering a full week of wristband pick-up opportunities across Houston. Grab your credentials early and skip the wait. Just show up and vibe!
🎤 Live Show + Fireworks Finale
We're ending Saturday night with a bang, literally! Get ready for an explosive live show featuring surprise performances and a full fire works display to close out the main event on Saturday August 2nd. It's our most unforgettable finale yet.

ABOUT THE PICNIC
The Texas Greek Picnic (TGP), affectionately dubbed “Greekchella,” has proudly celebrated 18 years as of 2025.Originally founded in 2008, TGP has grown into a premier annual three- or four-day gathering in Houston, drawing thousands of African American fraternity and sorority members from across Texas and beyond. Hosted by Texas Greek
Picnic, Inc.—a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting unity, diversity, and community engagement—TGP offers an electrifying blend of culture and service. Throughout its nearly two-decade run, the event has raised awareness and
support for causes like hunger relief in partnership with organizations like the Houston Food Bank.
From its early days of picnic games and stroll competitions for small chapter teams, TGP has evolved into a full-scale Greek festival, complete with tailgates, pool parties, alumni concerts, community service initiatives, and the main picnic
featuring live music, food vendors, and thrilling step shows txgreekpicnic.com. Each summer weekend in Houston has become a touchstone for lifelong fellowship, chapter recruiting, and cultural celebration. The 2025 iteration marked its
18th annual celebration, proudly showcasing “the best vibes in the land” with events like Greekchella and hospitality-first experiences . Over nearly two decades, Texas Greek Picnic has solidified its place as a hallmark event of Divine 9 culture, service, and celebration in the South.

What are the official dates for Texas Greek Picnic 2025?

Where is the picnic located?
Wristbands can be picked up from Tuesday to Friday at a central Houston location. You must present your barcode confirmation to receive your wristband. If you miss early pickup, you can grab it at the box Office on Saturday starting at 11am.
How do I get my wristband?
Visit our vendor page or sponsorship section to learn more and apply. Spots fill fast, so act early!
How can I become a vendor or sponsor?
If available, tickets may be sold at the gate, but early purchase is strongly encouraged to guarantee entry and avoid long lines.
Can I buy tickets at the gate?
VIP includes access to the VIP Lounge, private top-shelf bar, cooling stations, exclusive vendors, VIP restrooms, and select seating. It's the elevated vibes experience.

TGP is primarily an 18+ event experience. While some outdoor events are open to all ages, parental discretion is advised.
Is the event kid-friendly?
Street parking and nearby paid lots will be available. Ride-share is highly encouraged. We'll have designated drop-off zones near each event.
What's the parking situation?
No. Outside food, drinks, and coolers are not permitted. We have a wide variety of food and beverage vendors on site.
Are coolers or outside food allowed?
TGP is a rain or shine event. Please dress accordingly and check our social media for any updates.
What happens if it rains?
To keep lines moving and make your TGP experience smoother than ever, we're offering early wristband pickup all week long! Early pickup is strongly encouraged to ensure quick entry to all events.
